Quality: The Shoe Play

Written by Elaine Avila | Directed by Kayla Adams

The story of two women - a mentor and her protegee - as they attempt to navigate and conquer the world of selling high-end designer shoes. As these ambitious women discover what really matters in life, their relationship to each other, their company and their elite clients is thoroughly tested.

Bellingham TheatreWorks presents this taut black comedy by Vancouver playwright Elaine Avila, directed by Kayla Adams. Featuring actresses Brie Turoff Mueller and Jacki Campbell.

And what better place to produce a story about a shoe store than 12th Street Shoes in Fairhaven! Due to this intimate venue, seating is limited to twenty patrons, with the two actresses sometimes performing within inches of the audience.

Nine shows, July and August at 12th Avenue Shoes in Fairhaven.

"Elaine Avila's subversive little black comedy (is) full of surprises . . ."
Edmonton Journal, Edmonton, Canada

"fashion, status, sex, even revenge . . . an art installation in itself."
National Post, London, UK
